About the Bloggers

Hello! My name is Nicole. I have lived in Upstate NY all of my 26 years. Some of my interests include: Reading, swimming, music, movies, hanging out with my family and friends. My favorite season is summer,and my favorite food is pizza :) I have a B.A. in childhood education. This is my first semester in the Literacy Specialist program, and I really enjoy it so far. This is also my very first blog, and it has been a fun and interesting experience in learning all about HOW to blog! :) This blog is special to me because it ties directly into why I chose the Literacy Specialist program. Hi! My name is Tiffany Maynard. I have my BA in Elementary Education and I am currently enrolled at SUNY Potsdam working on my masters as a Literacy Specialist, I graduate May 2012. I have 2 sons Codie who is 13 and Jack is 2. I have many interests which include traveling, United States history, photography, gardening, hiking and camping. I actually have not always loved to read. It wasn't until I was a sophomore in college, it was then that I had a professor recommend "Tuesday with Morrie" by Mitch Albom and my life was forever changed.
